Welcoming New Students of English UNJA 2016

Dear New Students of English Education Study Program UNJA,

On behalf of the study program, allow me to welcome you to English UNJA. Congratulation on getting accepted in this program. English UNJA is one of the biggest program in UNJA, currently being enrolled by more than 500 students and staffed by more than 40 faculty members (lecturers) with master and doctoral degree in English language teaching and related fields from Indonesia and overseas. English UNJA is also one of the most prestigious study program in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) as the competition for being a student is quite harsh. Starting this academic year, you will begin your study here in our study program meaning that you are lucky to be selected over the other competitors  who are not as lucky as you. Thus, you have to make use of this wonderful opportunity to study hard and prove that you really deserve here. Work and study hard and graduate successfully joining our alumni who have successfully worked in various fields of work, including education and other related areas.

Public Lecture Program 02 - Prof. Abdul Hamied

English UNJA is very proud to announce our second Public Lecture Program featuring Prof. Fuad Abdul Hamid (Senior Lecturer, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Former TEFLIN President). In this program, Prof. Fuad Abdul Hamied is going to talk about research in TEFL in Indonesian setting. Particularly, he will discuss some insights of the current trends as well as the orientation of the research in this field in Indonesia. His expertise and experience as a TEFL researcher and practitioner as well as TEFLIN president is hoped to provide us with some enlightenment in this field. This will be particularly beneficial for English students who are in the process of writing their research papers or planning to propose their title, as well as TEFL reserchers in general. News on Public Lecture Program Presenting Dr. Martin Lamb

Dear All,


We are so happy that we successfully launched our first Public Lecture Program on July 22, 2016, featuring Dr. Martin Lamb from School of Education, University of Leeds, UK. English UNJA would like thank you for your participation and hard work to make our first Public Lecture Program happen. It was a great success and it all thanks to you. We also would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Martin Lamb for his visit and wonderful presentation. It was a very inspiring and enriching presentation about learners' motivation, and we believe will change the way we view our learners and teaching practices. Hope to see him again in the near future. One of our colleagues from English UNJA will write a review of the presentation soon and will post it in this website. We will also post some pictures of the event soon, both in this website and our Facebook page. Just wait and see. We also would like to thank the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Jambi, the Dean, Prof. Rusdi, and the Vice Deans for their support in this event.


Dr. Martin Lamb has also generously allowed us to distribute his presentation materials to the participants. English Education Study Program, University of Jambi (ENGLISH UNJA) kindly invites the faculty members, the students of English UNJA, and other interested individuals to the first series of our Public Lecture Program inviting featuring famous scholars on English Language Education and related fields from Indonesia and abroad.
